Saldi!! (everyone in Rome dresses like Aunt Bat)

This is a bunch of stuff I got during Saldi, the twice-yearly sale in Rome. This blog is mostly for my mom to see what I got, but I figure there might be a couple others out there interested in my new Italian fashion :)

These are my new - expensive - black boots. It was a little anxiety-inspiring for me to buy these, but they're molto cute and I really like them.

Here are a couple other views of them.

This is my new off-white peacoat. Only 20 euro! Zara has some awesome sales.

This is the black peacoat I bought. It was more expensive, but exactly what I wanted, and really warm and comfortable. I haven't really needed the warm coat here in Rome though, it's been extremely pleasant and warm (quite the opposite of the uber snowstorm in Seattle!!).

I got these brown suede boots from Zara for 14 euro!! That's only about $20. They're surprisingly comfortable too, although I'm not going to even try wearing them around the cobblestoned streets of Rome.

These are the two new bras I got at Yamamay, which seemed to me like the Italian Victoria's Secret (except not quite as good). I did get them both for 20 euro though. Only about $26 altogether.

The next three sweaters I also got at Zara. They were each 15 euro.

I also got this scarf at Zara. Only 13 euro!

The next three shirts I got at a store called Habana, each for only 10 euro. As I said before, Saldi rocks.

These last three tank tops I also got at Zara (where else). The first two were only 4 euro each. That is a little over $5! The last one was only about 12 euro.

All the Italian women dress so nicely here, I constantly feel like a scrub. But I'm improving my wardrobe bit by bit! Next on my list is a cute gray or black skirt to go with my new coat and boots. Aunt Bat, aren't you proud? :)

OMG!!! I would go nuts. That white peacoat and black tank top are particularly dreamy! That black tank would look smokin' with some jeans tucked into those black boots--ciao wow babee! I wish I could hop on a plane right now. I know my adage is "fashion is where you find it" but that would be a bit ridiculous, no? I hope you are having fun AND oh yeah, learning some things besides the exchange rate of that fake euro-trash $$. Oops. A little un-pc of me. Today Clara and Olivia met the Indian Ambassador to the US in a ceremony downtown in which they escorted the Mayor and Ambassador to a statue of Ghandi (it was a dedication.) They did great, but they were really interested in the table of post-ceremony treats. Love you love love you!
